Why this conversation matters now

The government’s SEND reforms place new expectations on mainstream schools to meet a broader and more complex range of needs.

For many school leaders, the challenge is not commitment to inclusion, but understanding what effective support looks like in practice.

Questions we regularly hear include:

  • How can schools support a wider range of additional needs within the classroom?
  • What role should therapeutic support play in school provision?
  • How can schools strengthen inclusive practice while managing increasing pressure on staff?

This session aims to provide clear, practical insight from professionals working alongside schools every day.

What we’ll cover

During the session, Emma and Kieran will explore:

  • What the SEND White Paper means for mainstream schools
  • The increasing expectations placed on schools to support additional needs
  • Practical approaches schools are using to strengthen inclusive practice
  • Where therapeutic services can support schools and pupils
  • Questions from school leaders during a live Q&A

Together, these insights will help school leaders consider how they can strengthen their own provision while supporting staff and pupils effectively.
